Healthcare at the Old Town of Stockholm

There is no public Healthcare centre in the Old Town but there are 2 very close by, one to the south and one to the north and both are marked at the map below. Please note that if you have an emergency you should go to a hospital and not a Healthcare centre.

Information about Healthcare at the Old Town

If you or anyone else has an accident where there is A MORTAL DANGER call the Emergency Number 112.

If you or anyone else has an accident where there IS NOT A MORTAL DANGER or someone STOLEN something from you call the Emergency Number 114 14

If you would like to provide information regarding an accident where there IS NOT A MORTAL DANGER you can call the Emergency Information Number 113 13

Outside the hospitals there are the Local Emergency Centres. They can assist with more complicated problems as larger wounds or allergic reactions. The ones closed to the Old Town are "CityAkuten" at Olof Palmes Gata 9 (Phone: +46 20 - 150 150) and "Söderjouren" at Ringvägen 113 (Phone: +46 8 - 123 398 00)

The hosptial closed to the Old Town that can handle most emergencies is S:t Görans Sjukhus (Saint George Hospital) at S:t Göransgatan 1 (Phone: +46 8 616 10 00).

European health insurance card

Please note that if you are a EU citizen or a resident of Switzerland or Norway you have the right to Healthcare but need to provide the European health insurance card. For everyone else there is a fee according to a tariff for the treatment.
