The Tea house Chaikhana is one of the pearls in the Old Town just waiting to be found by you. There is nothing flashy about it, it gives you a genuine feeling and it delivers a genuine experience. This is not the place for a quick cup of tea, this is the place for tea lovers.
This is how they describe how to make a cup of tea at their own Web Site: "Brewing tea is really quite easy. First start with cold great tasting water. If your tap water does not taste good, then use filtered of bottled water. Then bring the desired amount of water to a rolling boil. Do not boil the water for a long period of time because this too will deplete the water for oxygen. Put approx. 1 tsp. of tea leaves per cup of water inte a pot or a cup. Then add hot water according to the chart below (red: The table is not displayed here) for the type of tea you are brewing. The water temperature does not have to be exact but do not use boiling water for green and white teas. They will burn and create bitter flavours".
The description goes on a bit longer but we leave it to you to find out instead. The Tea House Chaikhana has our recommendation.
